Plasterboarding / Dot & Dab
Often referred to as dry lining, this technique has become the norm for most new builds and extensions due to the speed and cleanliness of the application.
The plasterboards, once cut to size and shape, are effectively glued to the walls using an adhesive compound. Once in place the boards are tapped flat and plum with a spirit level.For new stud portioning and ceilings, the plasterboards are securely screwed to the joists.
All joints on both applications are reinforced with a fibre scrim tape to prevent cracking, beads applied where necessary and the same quality skim finish applied.
